Method : re-election and flotation

The methods for beneficiation of fluorite mines in China include manual selection, gravity (jig) concentrating and floating mineral processing. Fluorite flotation collectors are the most common flotation agents for fluorite mines. The fluorite ore beneficiation equipment is also divided into reselection equipment and flotation equipment. The reselection equipment refers to the jig, the jig can handle coarse fluorite ore, and the fluorite flotation equipment is similar to other mineral flotation equipment, including Crusher, ball mill, flotation machine.

The fluorite ore flotation process can be applied to difficult-to-select fluorite mines with high mud content in the ore, symbiotic impurities minerals and fluorite, and complex ore-like fine minerals.

The main problem with fluorite flotation is the separation of symbiotic gangue (quartz, barite, etc.). There are also problems with the separation of certain sulphides, depending on the circumstances, the following methods can be taken:

1.Separation of fluorspar and sulphide ore: The sulphide ore is generally floated with xanthate collectors, followed by the addition of fatty acid collectors to float fluorspar. Sometimes in the flotation operation of fluorite, a small amount of sulfide mineral inhibitor (such as cyanide) is added to suppress the residual sulfide minerals to ensure the quality of fluorite concentrate.

2.Separation of fluorite and barite: Generally, fluorite and barite are mixed and flotated, then separated, and oleic acid is used as a collector during mixed flotation to obtain a mixed concentrate, and the separation of mixed concentrate can be achieved by positive flotation or reverse flotation.

3.Separation of fluorite and quartz: Fluorite is captured with fatty acids, water glass is used as a quartz inhibitor, and sodium carbonate is used to adjust the pulp pH to 8-9. The quantity of water glass should be controlled well. When there is a small amount, it will activate fluorite, but the inhibitory effect on quartz will be insufficient. If the amount of water glass is excessive, the fluorite will also be suppressed. In order to add the least amount of water glass, the suppression intensity of quartz gangue can be achieved. , often add water glass at the same time, then add multivalent metal ions (such as Fe3 +, Al3 +) and alum, aluminum sulfate and so on. In addition, addition of Cr3+ and Zn2+ ions also has an effect, which not only inhibits quartz but also calcite.
